2009-2010 Beta Club Members

Beta Club is a national academic honorary society which promotes
and rewards excellence in scholarship and leadership. In order to
be eligible for Eastland High School’s Chapter of Beta Club and be
inducted into membership as a sophomore or junior, a student must
have an overall cumulative average of at least 93 for the previous
calendar year. Students transferring in must also bring a
cumulative average of at least 93 from their previous school. To
maintain membership, a student must maintain an overall cumulative
average of 90. Eastland High School conducts an induction ceremony
each fall.
Beta Club participates in community service projects, which in past
years have included the following activities: Souper Bowl of Caring
food drive, Salvation Army bell ringers, senior citizen food pantry
donations, after game gym clean-up, and seatbelt safety awareness
week.
Beta Club members also participate in a couple yearly fundraising
activities which go directly towards the Beta Club senior
scholarships each year. The “Beta Club Gas Raffle”, in which area
businesses donate coupons and vouchers for gas at local gas
stations, is looked forward to each fall.
