Band Contest

Hello Maverick Band Parents and Fans,

Yes, our competition season is here, and the band is working hard to be the best that they can be. I wanted to keep you up -to-date on the upcoming Contest events. Every year, I have parents ask, "Is it okay for parents to attend the band competitions?" and the answer is overwhelmingly yes. Our competions are like any other school competitions, and it is not only okay for parents to attend, the band needs you to attend. Our Maverick Band is the best it has ever been, and our students need your cheering and support in the stands when they are performing. You will get to know the show as well as the band when you see it and as you learn it, you too can see the weekly improvements and share their enthusiasm.

Also, We need 4- 6 Parent Chaperones for all of our Friday nights and Saturday competitions. On competitions, we need shoe polishers and assistants to our students in their preparations.

If you have already chaperoned for us this year and are wanting to go again, please confirm with an email or phone call.

Also, on Monday night rehearsals, all parents are welcome to attend and watch our rehearsals. We are currently rehearsing at the stadium, weather permitting. So, come on up and watch!
