EMS Cell Phone Policy

EMS students are allowed to carry cell phones on school grounds, however the following rules apply:

1.    Phones must remain off from the time students arrive on campus until 3:15 pm.

2.    Students may not use cell phones in the school building at any time without permission from school personnel. This includes taking photos, incoming calls and “texting”.

3.    Students carrying cell phones to school are responsible for ensuring that the cell phone is off.

4.    Students need to place their cell phones on the corner of their desk when entering a class.

Violators of the Cell Phone Policy will face the following consequences:

1.    First Offense: 3 Detentions (90 minutes)

2.    Second Offence: 5 Detentions (150 Minutes)/Community Service

3.    3-5 Days of ISS (Students and Parents may choose SWATS in lieu of ISS.)

**** Note: Anytime a phone is collected from a student, parents will need to pick up the phone from the office, otherwise the school will hold on to the phone for seven (7) school days. ****
